The old adage “a picture is worth a thousand words” is no truer than Laetitia and my wedding photographs taken by the very gifted Mr. Du Wayne Denton. When looking at the photographs we can’t help but get choked up and excited when reliving our joyful day. Du Wayne has brilliantly captured the emotions of that day, and has single-handedly provided Laetitia and me with an everlasting memory to share with all our friends and family time and time again. The photographs are classical and certainly provide a timeless element to our lives. So when we are both old and grey, and have lost our memories, we will be able to look back in time and relive our wedding day. It’s hard not to feel very proud of Du Wayne’s abilities, even though we only met him a few weeks before our wedding day – such powerful abilities to perfectly capture a moment must surely be a skill you are born with and not something you simply teach yourself.
Is photography art? Some say yes, others disagree. In any case, there’s no denying the impact of Du Wayne’s photographs on our lives and our union in marriage. The power of his photographs can make us cry tears of joy, keep us excited about our relationship as husband and wife and it allows us to share our commitment to each other with others.
